Get mental health support from NHS 111 Wales

For urgent mental health support call 111 and press OPTION 2.

The service is available for people of all ages, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in all areas of Wales to ensure those in need of support can access it quickly when they need it most.

Helplines - Beat Eating Disorders

Support on the Beat Helpline is available by phone, email, webchat or through social media accounts and by letter. Helplines are open from 3pm– 8pm, Monday to Friday.

Supporting someone else - Beat Eating Disorders

Eating disorders affect not only the person who’s ill, but those around them too. If you’re supporting someone with an eating disorder, the Beat Eating Disorder carer services can help.

Description: Provides specialist assessment and treatment for adults with eating disorders.

Description: Provides specialist support and treatment for children and adolescents with eating disorders.

Specialist Adult Eating Disorder Service (SAEDS) 

Description: Provide specialist assessment and treatment to adults (17+) with a suspected or confirmed primary diagnosis of an eating disorder.

SpeED Eating Disorder Service (CAMHS) 

Description: Specialist service for children and young people with eating disorders.

Description: Provides specialist outpatient consultation and treatment for adults with eating disorders.

CAMHS RISE (Rapid Intervention Service for Eating Difficulties) 

Description: Offers assessment and intervention for children and young people who present with an eating disorder, or who may have a developing eating disorder.

Adult Eating Disorder Service 

Description: Provides specialist assessment, advice and treatment to people aged 18 or over who have been referred to Community Mental Health Teams with concerns of eating disorder symptomology.

CAMHS Eating Disorder Service

Description: Part of the wider Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service that provides assessment and treatment for a range of emotional, behaviour or mental health difficulties, including eating disorders. Referrals are accepted for children and young people up to the age of 17 years and 9 months.
