NHS Wales Executive

Operational from 1 April 2023, the NHS Executive is a new, national support function based in the NHS in Wales.

It is made up of the following component organisations:

• Delivery Unit 
• Finance Delivery Unit 
• Improvement Cymru 
• Health Collaborative

The key purpose of the Executive is to drive improvements in the quality and safety of care to achieve better, fairer healthcare outcomes for the people of Wales.

Improvement Cymru will retain its name and brand for now as a nested brand of the NHS Executive. From 1 April 2023, the Improvement Cymru brand will be used alongside the NHS Executive brand where relevant.
