Workforce Education and Training

The Department of Health National Screening Committee's objective is to ensure that all staff working in screening services receive appropriate and accredited training. Therefore, all DRSSW staff require and have the right to expect appropriate training for the service they provide to patients. A recognised and accredited training programme that is suitable for all staff within the organisation is an integral part of DRSSW philosophy.

All DRSSW staff undergo an in-depth induction course on the commencement of employment and receive regular competency assessments with quality assurance monitoring. Every member of staff also has a personal development plan.  DRSSW is a fully certified City and Guilds Training Centre.
